BSP.Performs - The Extraordinary World of Synesthesia

BSP.Performs during one of her immersive performances

In this episode, my guest known by the artistic name BSP.Performs, shares the direct experience of living with synesthesia. Although labelled as a condition, I find synesthesia a creative ability, and as a singer songwriter and artist, BSP.Performs navigates this world with a multiple sensory lens. This allows her to create immersive experiences on stage through sounds, melodies, and imagery on canvas. BSP.Performs has performed at the Tate Museum and her audiences have describe it as “her art a connection of voice, sound and paint”.

Today we talk about synesthesia from a first person experience as we aim to uncover some myths, while hopefully support those who feel outcasts for such ability.

This episode interests anyone curious about BSP's creative process. Also if you wish to know more about synesthesia in the mental health context, or how to improve your creativity through open up the multi sensory experiences

The Blending of Senses” is easily accessed through Youtube. And her latest album to date, “In My Garden” is out now on Spotify.
